Non-Delivery of Commercial Goods: Remedies in Dubai

If goods were paid for and not delivered, the buyer can ask for performance, a refund or compensation. The best choice depends on whether you still need the goods and how quickly you can source them elsewhere.

What should I send the supplier?

A written notice stating the order, the missed date and a short final deadline. Keep proof of sending. This sets up cancellation and a claim if the date passes.

What can I claim after cancelling?

The refund, plus extra cost of replacement, freight and documented delay costs. Keep replacement quotations as they are your evidence of loss. Where a deposit was paid, see cancellation disputes.

What if the supplier says it was impossible?

Test the reason: was delivery truly impossible, or only more costly? The law treats them differently. Ask for evidence such as shipping or customs documents.
